Heart-shaped cookie

This coming Sunday is both Valentine's day as well as the first day of the Chinese New Year. To celebrate V-day, my teachers helped my classmates and I to make heart-shaped cookies in school today. I had the chance to mix the cookie dough, spread it out and use a cookie-cutter. After the cookie was baked in the oven, I put pink jam on it. Here you see the cookie:

And now it's gone!

Bad mood

Once in a while, I get tired of being a good girl and I start throwing tantrums at home. Today was one of those days. It was Daddy's fault though, because he was talking to Mummy and didn't want to read a book to me, hrmph.

Uncle Choon Leng's present and Kaijie's birthday party

A couple of days ago, Mummy received a parcel in the mail that contained a nice card from Uncle Choon Leng and an even nicer dress for me. Today, I had the chance to show off my new dress at Kaijie's birthday party.

Here I am looking sweet and demure, trying not to dirty my dress.

But it's certainly much more fun to run around and play with Kaijie, Portia and Win Son.

I specially drove Kaijie around in the car as it was his birthday.

Kaijie also had a nice birthday cake with four candles. He is now older than me, but I will also be four years old soon.

Topato

"Topato" is one of my favourite foods, whether it's topato chips, french fries or curry topato. Daddy and Mummy keep trying to trick me though, by telling me that it's not topato, but that it is potato instead.

I'm not sure I believe them though. Topato still sounds much nicer than potato, doesn't it?

Cambridge's 800th Anniversary

There have been plenty of celebrations in Cambridge for the past year, to celebrate its 800th anniversary. The finale of the celebrations took place over these few days, with a lights and fire show.

Description from the website: The Senate House and Old Schools were lit up in a spectacular light show featuring some iconic images from the University's past and present, as well as some new drawings of two of the most famous alumni, by illustrator and Downing College alumnus Quentin Blake. The show was produced by world-renowned light artist Ross Ashton.

Beauty and the Beast

Daddy and Mummy brought me to watch a pantomime at Haddenham this evening. I had been very fascinated by the story of Beauty and the Beast ever since I received a set of Disney Princesses storybooks for Christmas. Daddy and Mummy therefore thought it would be very exciting for me to watch the show in real life.

I didn't really understand why the storyline in the show wasn't the same as in my book, so I kept asking Daddy and Mummy many questions throughout the show. There was one point in the show where I was very scared and I cried to go home because the evil witch was very scary and wanted to eat little babies like me.

The best part of the show was when I got the chance to go on stage to sing and dance along to "Five hundred miles". I didn't finish singing the song though, and I ran down the stage to find Mummy and Daddy. Can you see me in the purple jacket in the front row near the right?

No matter what

Some time ago, Daddy and Mummy had gotten me a book from the library titled No Matter What.

It's a really great book about how Mummies love their babies no matter what happens, and I'm really sad that we have to return the book soon. Daddy and Mummy have read the book so often to me that I can actually memorise most of it:

Family of mini-snowmen

The weather suddenly became very cold again, and it started snowing again yesterday and today. Mummy got bored of studying for her exams, and we decided to take a snowman break. Here's my family of mini-snowmen - from left to right: Me, Mummy and Daddy.

Here's a closer look at them:

And here's Mummy and I looking like snowmen and eskimos.

New Year's Eve

Today's the last day of 2009. To celebrate this special day, Daddy and I donned look-a-like shirts when we went out for dinner with Mummy's friends.

From left to right, here are some photos of Auntie Monica (Uncle Milind's darling), Uncle Nate, Uncle Jeong Shing and Auntie Misha (Uncle Nate's darling):
