Kaijie and Portia

Kaijie and Portia are my friends from Cambridge, and I don't get to see them as often as I used to, now that we are all back home. So today, our Daddies and Mummies decided to have a gathering at Kaijie's house.

We had a lot of fun playing at Kaijie's house..

... and at the playground downstairs.

Crane dance at Sentosa

Grandpa, Ah Ma and Edwina Lao Ee brought me to Sentosa a few weeks back to watch the Crane Dance when Daddy and Mummy were out gallivanting on their own. I had enjoyed it very much and decided to bring Daddy and Mummy to watch it tonight. There is a boy crane and a girl crane, and they fell in love and lived happily ever after.

Daddy and I tried to pose like cranes too:

Bread

I love bread. I can eat a lot of bread! Here's a duck-shaped pastry that's so cute.

And here's a chocolate bun, yummy!

Jason ku ku's wedding

I woke up very excited this morning because I will get to wear a pretty dress at Jason ku ku's and Auntie Michele's wedding tonight. We were seated at table 38 but I couldn't stay seated throughout the dinner, haha.

Here I am, acting cute and posing for the camera:

Again acting cute, but this time with my pretty Mummy and handsome Daddy:

And finally, here's a nice family shot of my Lao Ma, her grandchildren and me!

Car wash

I used to be very very scared of car washes when I was small. I remember there was one time when Daddy brought me to the car wash when Mummy was not around - I howled and howled as I sat by myself in the back seat, until Daddy had to climb over from the front to comfort me. But I am a big girl now, and this time as th soap covered our car and made it dark inside, I laughed and watched the men outside in amusement.

Dinner with family

Ah Ma called Mummy this morning to ask if we wanted to have dinner together with Lao Ma and Ah Ma's siblings. So after Daddy and Mummy picked me up from school today, we went to look for them. They were already enjoying their food when we arrived and within minutes, I was happily munching away too. Thank you Lao Ku for the treat!

Dentist

Daddy and Mummy had bought me a book last year about a boy and a girl who had gone to the dentist for a check-up. I'm scared of dentists and whenever Daddy and Mummy ask if I would like to go, I would always refuse.

But I didn't have a choice today, when Daddy noticed that there was a black mark on one of my teeth. Mummy got worried that it would be a cavity, and insisted that we go to the dentist. I was very scared when the dentist asked me to open my mouth, but I did as I was told. He shone a bright light at me, and started digging away. Then I started panicked when he put a tube into my mouth and there was a very loud sucking noise, and I yelled for Mummy. Mummy held my hand throughout, and I was really glad when it was all over. It turned out that I really had a cavity and it was lucky that I saw the dentist in time. I'm happy now =D

Chinese New Year

We didn't get to enjoy Chinese New Year last year because we were overseas, so I was looking forward to it very much this year. On the first day, I wore a nice new dress. Here I am, pretty in pink, standing next to a pink car that we saw in the carpark.

Apart from angbaos and good food, Chinese New Year is also a time for family. My two little cousins are usually overseas, so I don't see them very often. Here we are, with our Nai Nai:

Here I am, playing with Di Di at Nai Nai's house:

Daddy and Mummy wanted to bring me kite-flying over the long weekend, and we thought it would be fun to bring Di Di and Mei Mei along.

We didn't really get to fly the kite much though, as Daddy broke it while he was flying it! Mei Mei and I sat down for a rest instead, after which we played in the water fountains.

After we had exhausted ourselves, our Daddies and Mummies cleaned us up. Be Be and Be Niang then treated us all to ice-cream - what a yummy end to the day.
