Merrry Christmas!

Daddy and Mummy brought me to Ah Gong's and Ah Ma's house for their annual Christmas party - look how excited I am at the thought of receiving many presents!

There are many presents under the Christmas tree, all of which are for me. Look at the grin on my face as I get ready to rip them apart!

Some presents are good to eat...

... while some presents are good to wear. These clothes are from Eugenia Lao Ee (Ah Ma's second sister).
Later at home, I enjoyed the rest of my presents. This Lego set is from my favourite Daddy and Mummy.

The turtle is from Ah Gong and Ah Ma.

Ku Ku Edgar's present is good to eat.
This is my final present, from Maggie Lao Ee (Ah Ma's third sister). I feel slightly overwhelmed at its size and somewhat flummoxed about its functions.

I am a girl

Whenever Daddy and Mummy bring me out, people will invariably ask if I am their son.

Do I look more like a girl now, with my (white) long hair?

Veggie puffs

Gerber's sweet potato puffs are delicious. They're made of a light and airy texture that dissolves quickly (so I won't choke); they come in a unique star shape (that's so pretty), and they're a good source of iron and zinc (so I can grow big and strong).

Maybe if I advertise for them, they'll give me free samples?

Bite marks

My new tooth is really powerful. Look at my bite marks on Daddy's index finger!

Trolley or stroller?

I sat in a supermarket trolley for the first time today. So many things to see and touch (and bite)!

I can't make up my mind though about whether the trolley or my own stroller is better. The view is definitely better from the trolley, but why is the seat so hard and cold?

All done

Today marks an important milestone in my life.

I'm growing up and becoming more independent, and I've decided that I'm done with nursing. Mummy has been trying to coax me to change my mind though.

I just want to tell Mummy that even if I don't nurse, I still love you and will always be your little girl!

My new hat

Daddy and Mummy gave me a new hat today. It came free with the pear I'm holding, and it's supposed to protect my head from bruising.

Anyway, now do you know what I mean when I say my Daddy's goofy? Just look at Daddy's expression!

Huge fan

Lao Ma (Mummy's Mummy's Mummy) let me play with her huge fan today. It's almost as tall as me!

And Ee Ee Rachael (Mummy's youngest cousin) carried me for the first time today. I like Ee Ee Rachael because she makes funny faces at me.

Crinkled

I found that my face was crinkled when I woke up from my nap today.

Mummy said that my skin isn't like Daddy's crinkle-free shirts. Daddy added that my skin isn't like Daddy's baby-smooth skin.

Fishes

There will be a huge marine fish tank in Sentosa when I grow up. I don't know though whether the fishes in the tank will be as cute as the fishes on my dress, or even as cute as me.

My first tooth

Mummy found out the hard (and painful) way that my first tooth is out, when I tried to bite her. Daddy didn't believe Mummy, so I bit him too to prove him wrong.

Daddy and Mummy couldn't get photos of my tooth though, because it's still too small to show up clearly.

Sushi again

Daddy and Mummy had dinner at the nice sushi place again. I didn't get any empty sushi plates this time, but I tried to eat the high chair.

No hands

Look, no hands!

I don't know why Mummy bought me such a large pair of pants. And why did Daddy pull my pants all the way up to my neck?

Fly fly

See me go fly fly flying!

Saturday, November 25, 2006

Then and now

This was me in July 2006, when I was 2 months old.

I've now 6 months old, and I still sleep the same way in Daddy's comfortable arms.

Orange

I don't understand why Daddy and Mummy love to eat oranges so much, if they're as hard and bitter as the one in my hands.

But at least the orange in my hands matches the orange T-shirt that I'm wearing.

Sushi

Daddy and Mummy had sushi for dinner, while I tried to eat a sushi plate. Look at the many more empty plates that I have to go through!

Thumbelina

Mummy started calling me Thumbelina because I tumble on the bed and I suck my thumb. I think my new name sounds cute, just like me.

6 months old

Daddy and Mummy bought me a cake to celebrate my 6-month birthday today. Strange though that I didn't get to eat any of it.

Mummy also made me a beautiful collage from my photos taken in the last 3 months.

Thumb or spoon?

I think cereal tastes better when eaten off my thumb. The spoon that Mummy used to feed me was tasteless.

Trend setter or fashion disaster?

Look at what Mummy made me wear.

Am I funky or what? Am I an ah lian wannabe?

I am invincible!

I got my immunisation jab today. Now I am immune to the evil monster viruses out to harm cute babies like myself! Check out my battle scar on my right thigh.

Heinz teething rusks

I fed myself for the first time today! I think most of the rusk stayed on my face and clothes though, instead of in my mouth.

When I reached out to Daddy and Mummy with my sticky fingers, neither of them seemed too keen to pick me up. Why?

Twinkle toes

When both my thumbs taste stale, I reach for my toes.

Daddy and Mummy calls them my twinkle toes because they're small and cute (and tasty!).

Two thumbs up

I have 2 thumbs. I love my thumbs. They stay with me whereever I go. I switch from one thumb to the other when it tastes stale.

My first swim

Daddy and Mummy brought me for my first swim today. I saw lots and lots of water! Do you like my funky pink and yellow swimming costume?

Photos

Mummy just loves taking photos of me, even if there is no special occasion. I was just lying happily on Daddy's and Mummy's bed when Mummy whipped out her camera-phone.

I must be absolutely adorable!

Roll over

I learnt a new trick today. Mummy kept saying "roll over Zoe, roll over", so I did. Daddy and Mummy are so proud of me!

Daddy's bolster

Daddy wouldn't wake up to play with me this morning. So I snuggled into bed with him, and he used me as his bolster! Why doesn't Daddy want to play with me when I'm so cute?

Too tight top

Auntie Sharon and Uncle Emmanuel (Daddy's and Mummy's friends) bought this top for me when I was born, but I only tried to wear it today. My head's grown too big though, and it's too tight for me.

Next time when I grow up, I want to be as pretty as Auntie Sharon and have a handsome French husband! I don't think I want a goofy husband like Daddy.

Long Beach

We went out for seafood at East Coast today. The crabs were bigger than me! Daddy brought me to the beach but I didn't see any ships because the skies were too hazy.

I was exhausted at the end of the dinner. See how contentedly I'm sleeping in Ah Ma's arms!

D for Daddy

Mummy dumped me on the Alphabet Mat today for me to learn to crawl. Try as I might, I couldn't get my belly off the mat. Mummy said I was floundering like a fish. Must have been all the milk that I drank this morning.

I couldn't find Z for Zoe on the mat, but I love D for my favourite Daddy!

Happening!

I must be the most happening baby in Singapore! It's past midnight, and I'm out partying with Daddy, Mummy and their friends at Mohammed Sultan. Too bad Mummy didn't let me have any alcohol.

Another playpen

I have another new playpen today.

Daddy and Uncle Choon Leng (Daddy's and Mummy's colleague) didn't need it anymore after they took the mooncakes out from it, so they thought they'll let me play in it.

I think it's really too small for me.

Sunday, September 24, 2006

My new playpen

I've got a new playpen, but it's barely large enough to fit me. Mummy uses it to hold dirty laundry when I'm not in it.

Bald is beautiful

I'm beautiful because my t-shirt says so. Daddy bought it for me from New York City.

Do you think I look like the baby on the t-shirt?

Rain rain go away?

Ah Ma and Nai Nai separately told Mummy yesterday that I am so powerful I can make rain. Apparently whenever I stick out my tongue and spit saliva, it will rain!

I wonder whether it's worth the risk of running out of my quota of saliva in future?

Smile no. 229

Daddy and Mummy sent a photo of me to STOMP (http://www.stomp.com.sg/gallery/smiles/slides/217.html), as part of a campaign to welcome the world with 4 million smiles.

See, I'm starting to be famous already!

Hats

Do you think I have the looks to be a model when I grow up?

I'm starting off small, by modelling hats. Which of them looks best on me? I like the bottom right one the most.

Drool is precious

Oh no, I drooled on Daddy today. That's precious drool wasted!

Daddy said that each person can only have a fixed amount of drool and tears in her lifetime. So for example if I use up my quota of tears now, I won't have any left when I'm older. That's a scary thought, because how else will Daddy and Mummy know to sayang (comfort) me!

Upgrading

Ye Ye's and Nai Nai's HDB flat was recently upgraded. I got my own upgrading today, from the cot in which I usually sleep...

... to Daddy's and Mummy's Huge Double Bed. I'm a small small person in a big big bed!
