Barney
Mummy had made me wear funky clothes when I was six months old, and I recall questioning her fashion sense. I can confirm now that Mummy's gone mad, as she's making me dress like Barney now.

First time at the zoo
Daddy and Mummy brought me to the zoo for the first time today. Grandpa and Ah Ma, and Ye Ye and Nai Nai went with us as well.
When we first walked in, I was so excited to see the monkeys. I think they were excited to see me too, because they were making so much noise!

The sun came out when we were halfway through our visit, and I was feeling very hot. Luckily Mummy had packed a hat in her bag and she whipped it out to give it to me. Watch me play peek-a-boo.

Vanilla
We usually go to Lao Ma's house for dinner on Sundays, but we went for dinner today (Saturday) instead because Lao Ee Edwina was in Singapore and wanted to cook her special beef noodles for us. The house was full of people today, as my granduncles, grandaunties, uncles and aunties were all around. After dinner, I found Ee Ee Rachael's toy dog who is called Vanilla, and took a photo with her and Mummy.
New playground
The playground at the void deck had been closed for renovations in December, and the new playground just opened this month. On the way back from buying lunch today, we stopped by the playground for a while. The new purple slide is really long and I didn't dare to climb all the way up nor slide down from halfway without holding onto Daddy.

Daddy's old toys
After we finished dinner at Ye Ye's and Nai Nai's house today, Ye Ye kept me entertained by letting me play with the toys that were in the display cabinet. I took a green plastic pig and a yellow plastic cat in my hands (along with my trusty bolster of course). Daddy said that he used to play with them when he was small and that I could keep them for my own children too.

New year resolution
Over the new year, I've made a resolution that I would try to cry less.
1. It's been one month since Daddy and Mummy first enrolled me at the childcare centre, and yesterday was the first day of 2008 that I attended childcare. When Daddy and Mummy dropped me off yesterday morning, I happily waved bye bye at them and reached out to my teacher for her to carry me. It was the first time that I didn't cry when Daddy and Mummy left to go to work!
2. Today, not only did I not cry when Daddy and Mummy dropped me off at the childcare centre, I was having so much fun when they came to pick me up in the evening that I didn't want to go home.

3. Today was even more amazing because it's the first time in a long time that I didn't cry when Mummy gave me a shower. Unlike what happens usually, I enjoyed the water so much today that I didn't want to step out of the toilet to be dressed.

Sweet dreams
I usually sleep facing Daddy because I prefer to lie on my right side rather than my left. But tonight, Daddy was still in the shower when I was ready for bed, so I laid down in Mummy's arms instead. I then reached out to take off Mummy's spectacles so that she could sleep. I also reached out to Mummy and gave her a goodnight kiss even though she hadn't asked me for one. When Daddy came out of the shower, I patted his pillow and beckoned for him to join Mummy and I. I had quite a sound sleep with sweet dreams, knowing that I was safe and loved by Daddy and Mummy.

Christmas
Mummy was all excited this morning because we were going to go to Ah Ma's and Granpa's house this morning for Christmas. Mummy says that for as long as she can remember, it was a Christmas tradition for Ah Ma and Grandpa to have a party the whole day, where all of Mummy's uncles, aunties and cousins would attend. This would be the second Christmas party that I'm going for (not counting the time when I was still in Mummy's tummy), although I don't really remember what happened last year.
Mummy and I were the first to arrive, only to find that Ah Ma and Grandpa both had gastric flu and had been vomitting the whole morning! I think Mummy must have passed the virus to them, when they came to look after me on Saturday.
Nevertheless, I had a good time at the party, playing with my uncles and aunties on Ku Ku Edgar's Wii. I also had plenty of presents, like two magnetic drawing boards (the one below is from Daddy and Mummy), a toy dog that would bark and walk, many soft toys, books and new clothes.

One of Daddy's cousins was getting married today, so Daddy came by only at about 4pm after he had finished helping out. Daddy wasn't feeling well too (I suspect Mummy's very potent germs invaded him too...), so he took a short nap. We then went for the wedding dinner together in the evening, where there was a huge christmas tree at the hotel lobby.

I was really exhausted by the time I got home!
