Sweet dreams

I usually sleep facing Daddy because I prefer to lie on my right side rather than my left. But tonight, Daddy was still in the shower when I was ready for bed, so I laid down in Mummy's arms instead. I then reached out to take off Mummy's spectacles so that she could sleep. I also reached out to Mummy and gave her a goodnight kiss even though she hadn't asked me for one. When Daddy came out of the shower, I patted his pillow and beckoned for him to join Mummy and I. I had quite a sound sleep with sweet dreams, knowing that I was safe and loved by Daddy and Mummy.

Daddy's car

Nai Nai often asks Daddy why his car is so small and why he can't remove my car seat to take more people. When Daddy was taking some things out of the car boot today, he noticed that there was a lot of space behind and decided to try out an idea that popped into his head:

Christmas

Mummy was all excited this morning because we were going to go to Ah Ma's and Granpa's house this morning for Christmas. Mummy says that for as long as she can remember, it was a Christmas tradition for Ah Ma and Grandpa to have a party the whole day, where all of Mummy's uncles, aunties and cousins would attend. This would be the second Christmas party that I'm going for (not counting the time when I was still in Mummy's tummy), although I don't really remember what happened last year.

Mummy and I were the first to arrive, only to find that Ah Ma and Grandpa both had gastric flu and had been vomitting the whole morning! I think Mummy must have passed the virus to them, when they came to look after me on Saturday.

Nevertheless, I had a good time at the party, playing with my uncles and aunties on Ku Ku Edgar's Wii. I also had plenty of presents, like two magnetic drawing boards (the one below is from Daddy and Mummy), a toy dog that would bark and walk, many soft toys, books and new clothes.

One of Daddy's cousins was getting married today, so Daddy came by only at about 4pm after he had finished helping out. Daddy wasn't feeling well too (I suspect Mummy's very potent germs invaded him too...), so he took a short nap. We then went for the wedding dinner together in the evening, where there was a huge christmas tree at the hotel lobby.

I was really exhausted by the time I got home!

Baby Pooh Bear

Uncle Vance bought me a baby Pooh bear for Christmas. I thought it looked very hungry and under-nourished, as its stomach and body was much smaller than its head. When I had my usual night-time bottle of milk, I made sure to leave a bit behind so that I could share the milk with Baby Pooh. .

I like bags

I like bags. I like carrying them and I like taking things out of them. After dinner tonight, I set down with Ah Ma's bag to see what treasures I could uncover.

Running nose and a new bolster

Mummy is sick, and Mummy made me sick too. To help me sleep better, Lao Ma sewed a nice new pink bolster for me, and Ee Ee Rachael lent me her pooh bear.

I wanted to stop my wet mucus from dripping down into my mouth, so I tried to turn myself the other way so that the mucus would stay in my nose instead.

Eat your peas

One of Daddy's and Mummy's colleagues gave me a book for Christmas. It's about a girl who doesn't like to eat peas, but I can't understand why. I love peas, and I eat them almost every weekend. I love the book though, and I made Daddy and Mummy each read the book to me twice today.

My first day at childcare

Today was my first day at childcare. Early in the morning, I put on an XS-sized uniform that was way too large for me.

Daddy, Mummy and I spent the whole morning in the centre, where there were many other kids. I danced, played, ate and was read a story. Daddy and Mummy brought me to their office after that, and I saw a lot of photos of myself in their cubicles.

Uncle Choon Leng and his photos of me

Uncle Choon Leng has been taking many beautiful photos of me because he intends to compile an album as a gift for my second birthday. Here are some sample shots below. Uncle Choon Leng also has an online album of his other photos, at www.picasaweb.google.com/knyghtfall. Aren't they well-taken?
