Birthdays

Last week, mummy arranged for me to have dinner with my friends to celebrate my birthday. I think that my mummy is so sweet.

Today it was Celest's turn to celebrate her birthday with us. Happy birthday Celest!

Scabs

Mummy and I both fell down this week, but mummy's wound was much worse. Coincidentally both our wounds were on the same leg and in the same place! Hope our wounds heal faster and don't leave ugly scars.

Another birthday present

Ku Ku Edgar couldn't come to my birthday party so he couldn't give me my present earlier. Ah Ma passed me the present today and I couldn't wait to try it out. It was a toy that could make bracelets out of rubber bands.

Oh! Did you also notice that I'm wearing the same t-shirt as mummy?

I am 8 today

Today is my first day of school as an eight year old!

We continued our annual tradition of marking my height on the wall for my birthday.

Guess what? Today is also the only day that mummy lets me eat donuts. I'm really happy to have a donut as my birthday cake, yummy!

Birthday party

I woke up all excited today as it's the day of my birthday party!

When evening came, I happily changed into my pretty-in-pink party gown and waited excitedly by the door for my family to start arriving.

We had a lot of nice food for my family and relatives to eat..

I also couldn't wait to eat the yummy potato chips that Mummy had bought as a treat. I think it's really a treat for Mummy herself, even though she says it's for me, haha.

Oooh and of course I got to eat the jelly which Ye Ye lovingly made for me.

I really enjoyed opening all my presents, from the Disney Frozen DVD, to the hula hoop, and art and craft stuff...

..... as well as the Little Pony snow globe that I can add to my snow globe zoo collection.

Best of all, I loved the Frozen birthday cake that Mummy and Daddy bought for me. Thanks everyone!

Brunch with friends

As we haven't met with Uncle Daniel and Uncle Lih Shiun in a long time, we decided to have brunch with them today. As we were waiting for the food to come, I decided to read my book. But after a while, I got bored and decided to make funny faces with daddy.

Snowman

When Mummy came to pick me up today, I couldn't wait to show her what I had made out of blu-tac. Do you wanna build a snowman too?

Ice and tulips

We usually spend weekends and public holidays doing the same things, so I was pleasantly surprised and excited today when Daddy and Mummy said that we would be going to not just one, but TWO new places today!

First up was the ice-art exhibition at Marina Bay. It was freezing cold inside and I loved it! Apart from looking at the various ice sculptures, Daddy and I had great fun sliding down the ice slope.

After we had frozen ourselves silly, we decided to brave the hot weather at Gardens by the Bay. Tulips are Mummy's favourite flower, and Daddy very lovingly decided to take us to Flower Dome.

The beautiful tulips had been specially flown in from the Netherlands, and they came in all sorts of colours. While we didn't see Mummy's favourite two-toned tulips, I think Mummy was really touched at how sweet Daddy was. Awesome Daddy!

Ashley's birthday

Ashley's birthday is coming, and she had invited a few of her childcare friends to her chalet. As Mummy had to work that day, she said at first that she would only be able to bring me to the chalet in the evening after work. But when Mummy realised how disappointed I would be, she asked Ashley's mummy if I could go to Ashley's house after school and go along with them to the chalet. Thank you Mummy and thank you Auntie Monica!

I'm so glad that I was able to meet my friends early. We had great fun at McDonald's...

... as well as in the swimming pool.

Happy birthday Ashley!

Hand painting

We didn't really have much to do this weekend, so when Daddy read in the newspapers that Volkswagen was having a family carnival, he decided to bring us there to have some fun.

I had a lot of snacks, like popcorn, ice-cream and a hot dog. I was also very excited to see the hand painting booth. Doesn't this look like Blue in Rio?
