Colouring contest

I went for a colouring contest today with my friends from school. I coloured very quickly while some of my friends spent a lot of time and effort with theirs. Here is mine:

My best friend Celest (seated on my right) was there too, and she won second prize for her colouring. All of us received goodie bags as well, yay!

6 years old

After a week of birthday celebrations, it's finally my actual birthday today. During my Yamaha and Berries classes this morning, all my friends wished me a happy birthday. For lunch, I got to eat what I really wanted - spicy instant noodles, yummy. For dinner, because it is my very special day, I also got to choose the type of food that I wanted, which was pizza. Daddy and Mummy also bought me a small mango cake, where I could make wishes before I blew out the candle. Happy birthday to me!

Universal Studios

Many of my friends have been to Universal Studios, so I badly wanted to go too, to see what was inside. So when Daddy and Mummy asked what I wanted for my birthday, I immediately said that I wanted to visit Universal Studios. 

The first thing that we saw was a shop selling silly hats:

We took many rides, including on the carousel:

But my favourite ride of all was the Enchanted Airways rollercoaster. I enjoyed it so much that I took it 4 times!

6th Birthday Party

I'm so excited today! Although my birthday is not for another week, I had my birthday party this evening. 

There was a lot of food:

There were party hats, and I made my youngest uncles and aunties wear them =)


There was of course a birthday cake. I choose the Minnie Mouse design myself. 



Last but not least, there were many presents for me! I received a princess watch with shiny things on it, a jewellery-making kit, a play-doh set to make cakes, a colouring book and colouring pencils, a toy kitchen set, some clothes and snacks, as well as a necklace and pendant that Lao Ku said was from Lao Ma. 




I had a great time at my party and would like to thank everyone who came and shared my special day. 

Singapore Flyer

As Ah Ma had free tickets to the Singapore Flyer, we took a trip on it today. Look how high we are! 

Dinosaur World

I've been learning about dinosaurs in school recently. To put my new-found knowledge to use, Daddy and I decided to make our own dinosaur world:

We went for dinner at Central today and stumbled upon the balloon exhibition. Pretty aren't they?


 

Bye bye Lao Ma

This is a photo of me with Lao Ma, taken earlier this month during one of our regular Sunday dinners. Six years ago, when Lao Ma knew that I was going to be born, she made a few pilows and bolsters just for me. I love the bolsters and bolster cases very much, as they are very soft and they have flowers on them. I like to make Lao Ma laugh, and I like to draw things for her.



Here is a photo of Lao Ma when she was young, together with her husband and four of her five children. Her youngest child, who is my Lao Ee Edwina, was naughty that day, so Lao Ma had left her at home.



Lao Ma was admitted to hospital last Thursday night, on the same day that Mummy had taken me out of school early so that we could spend an afternoon with her. We visited Lao Ma in hospital on Friday evening as well as on Sunday after our visit to the zoo. Late Sunday afternoon, Ah Ma messaged Mummy to say that Lao Ma had passed away. Today is Lao Ma's funeral. Bye bye Lao Ma, I love you and I will see you in heaven next time.

Trip to the zoo

Mummy managed to get tickets to the zoo again this weekend, so we spent some time there this morning. We went to the children's part of the zoo this time, where we saw dogs and cats performing. I also went for a pony ride, which felt like the donkey ride that I sat on in the UK.

Bouncy castle

We were having lunch at Alexandra Retail Centre today, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a bouncy castle! I love bouncy castles, and I still remember playing on a bouncy castle at a Cambridge party almost two years ago. Hello Uncle Chris and Auntie Stephanie! Do you still remember playing with me?
