Bye bye Lao Ma

This is a photo of me with Lao Ma, taken earlier this month during one of our regular Sunday dinners. Six years ago, when Lao Ma knew that I was going to be born, she made a few pilows and bolsters just for me. I love the bolsters and bolster cases very much, as they are very soft and they have flowers on them. I like to make Lao Ma laugh, and I like to draw things for her.

Here is a photo of Lao Ma when she was young, together with her husband and four of her five children. Her youngest child, who is my Lao Ee Edwina, was naughty that day, so Lao Ma had left her at home.

Lao Ma was admitted to hospital last Thursday night, on the same day that Mummy had taken me out of school early so that we could spend an afternoon with her. We visited Lao Ma in hospital on Friday evening as well as on Sunday after our visit to the zoo. Late Sunday afternoon, Ah Ma messaged Mummy to say that Lao Ma had passed away. Today is Lao Ma's funeral. Bye bye Lao Ma, I love you and I will see you in heaven next time.

Trip to the zoo

Mummy managed to get tickets to the zoo again this weekend, so we spent some time there this morning. We went to the children's part of the zoo this time, where we saw dogs and cats performing. I also went for a pony ride, which felt like the donkey ride that I sat on in the UK.

Bouncy castle

We were having lunch at Alexandra Retail Centre today, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a bouncy castle! I love bouncy castles, and I still remember playing on a bouncy castle at a Cambridge party almost two years ago. Hello Uncle Chris and Auntie Stephanie! Do you still remember playing with me?

Nai Nai's birthday

It will be Nai Nai's birthday in a few days, so we decided to celebrate her birthday over dinner today, together with Ye Ye and Ber Ber Ying Git. Nai Nai also had a mango birthday cake. Happy birthday Nai Nai!

The Lorax

Daddy and Mummy decided to bring me out to watch a movie tonight. It was called The Lorax, and it was very funny. There was a cute bear and a fat bear, and a cute duckling. There was also a bad boy who cut down the Lorax's trees and home, and he sang this song "How bad can I be, how bad can I possibly be"!

My little house

Lao Tio Michael recently bought a sound system, and when Mummy say the empty box, she asked if she could bring it home for me. I've always wanted to make a small house for myself, ever since I saw the house that Chloe made in London.

We started by painting the box white:

After the white paint had dried, I used a pencil to draw pictures on the sides. Daddy and I painted the colours together. This side shows a house with a garden, and a little girl standing outside the house.

This side shows fishes, a shark and some other sea creatures that are Princess Ariel's friends.

I got tired after painting two sides though, so I decided to take a nap in my little house:

Soldier hat

Inspired by Daddy's soldier hats, I decided to make one of my own. Nice?

Soldier Daddy

Daddy's going to become a soldier next month, and when we went to Ye Ye's and Nai Nai's house for dinner tonight, Daddy took the chance to dig up his soldier uniform.

Don't Mummy and I look cool in these soldier hats? I don't want to be a soldier when I grow up though. You know why? Because it's very scary, and if I miss the bad guy, the bad guy will shoot me, then how?
