Two Weeks with Mummy

Today is the start of Mummy's two-week leave to spend time with me! As she had stayed up late last night to finish off her work, I waited quietly and patiently for her to wake up this morning. But as I got a little bit bored waiting, I decided to show my love for her by making her breakfast. Mummy seemed really really pleased to wake up to the sight and smell of this:

In the afternoon, we went to have my nails done. This is the first time that I've ever had a manicure, and I was pleased to be pampered. I picked a shiny purple colour (of course).

Men in Black

Did you know that Singapore has our very own men in black? Mummy and I came across these statues when we tried out a new eating place this evening.

Home-made Cookies

Today was a typical lazy Sunday with nothing much at home to do. Felt like a good day to bake cookies, so ta-da!

Random Tattoo

We went for lunch at a shopping centre today. As it was Halloween, the place had various activities for children as part of its celebrations. I got myself a random tattoo that had nothing to do with Halloween, hahahaha.

Cherry Blossoms

Daddy and Mummy brought me to a wedding dinner this evening. I usually wear a pretty pink dress for nice occasions like this, and the colour went really well with the real live cherry blossoms that had been specially flown in to decorate the ballroom.

Children's Day Party

I've been bubbling with glee at the thought of having fun at the Children's Day Party organised by Mummy's office. And true enough, apart from getting a nice goodie bag of snacks, I made bubbles too :)

Hot chocolate moustache

After dinner at Orchard Road today, Daddy and Mummy suggested getting a drink nearby. As it's such a rare treat, of course I jumped at the chance to have something nice and warm. Can you see my huge grin beneath my hot chocolate moustache?

Studio M

Awww, my Daddy really loves to pamper me. He knows how much I love staycations, so he applied for leave yesterday at the last minute and booked us a night's stay at Studio M. Before we checked in, we had lunch with a view, at Mount Faber:

We went to check out the facilities in the hotel after we checked into our room. This huge couch was in the common areas of the hotel. There was a nice lap pool, where there were foam toys for me and my kiddy Daddy to play. Despite the haze, we went swimming twice - once yesterday and once this morning before our late check-out.

The room was a bit small but quite cool as the bedroom area was up on a loft. I tried out the sofa-bed on the main floor but decided that I would cuddle with Daddy and Mummy at the loft instead.

The hotel is in quite a happening place and as it was the eve of a public holiday, the restaurants were actually quite crowded. As we were walking out to dinner, I came across this sculpture and of course I couldn't resist climbing on it. Alas, after dinner when I attempted to scale the sculpture a second time, I took a mis-step and tumbled off. Luckily I wasn't badly hurt and only had a few scratches. But all in all, it was definitely a great day. Thanks Dadddy!

Another day of fun

I have always wanted to attend a baking or cooking class together with Mummy and my wish finally came true. Mummy signed us up yesterday for a class this morning to make egg tarts. The tarts are made of the biscuit-like crust that Mummy likes, instead of the flaky puff pasty that seems to be more commonly sold. See our masterpiece:

Mummy also had a good idea of asking my friend Ashley out to play with me this afternoon. So after lunch, we went to fetch Ashley and we decided to visit the museum. Some of the exhibits were a bit creepy - like these jars of flowers that look very nice, can you guess that they're actually made of the artist's dead skin and nails?

I liked this one though, which was done in memory of Mr Lee Kuan Yew:

All-day fun

It's the school holidays this week, which means that sweet Mummy has taken leave the whole week to play with me! We met Maggie Lao Ee for lunch at Parkway Parade, as Mummy and I wanted to enjoy the weekday lunch deal at Swensens.

After lunch we took a bus to the airport as Mummy said that there was an exhibition on China. This was the sight that greeted us as we stepped out of the elevator:

As part of the exhibition, we could experience what it's like to fly, as how the actors do it in martial arts shows.  Here I am getting ready to fly:

After all that exercise, I was hungry and wanted a tea-time snack. We had all of these for just $2.50, amazing!

Mummy and Lao Ee went window shopping after our tea, and I found other things to keep me occupied at the airport:

To round up the nice day, Mummy and I met Daddy for dinner at Din Tai Fung. I like eating out, and I eating with Daddy and Mummy.
