All-day fun

It's the school holidays this week, which means that sweet Mummy has taken leave the whole week to play with me! We met Maggie Lao Ee for lunch at Parkway Parade, as Mummy and I wanted to enjoy the weekday lunch deal at Swensens.

After lunch we took a bus to the airport as Mummy said that there was an exhibition on China. This was the sight that greeted us as we stepped out of the elevator:

As part of the exhibition, we could experience what it's like to fly, as how the actors do it in martial arts shows.  Here I am getting ready to fly:

After all that exercise, I was hungry and wanted a tea-time snack. We had all of these for just $2.50, amazing!

Mummy and Lao Ee went window shopping after our tea, and I found other things to keep me occupied at the airport:

To round up the nice day, Mummy and I met Daddy for dinner at Din Tai Fung. I like eating out, and I eating with Daddy and Mummy.

Fine dining

Daddy and Mummy had previously been on a dinner date at Il Lido, and every once in a while, Mummy raves about the salt-baked fish. This evening, Daddy made a surprise reservation for the three of us. Mummy was overjoyed and excitedly asked me to dress up nicely. I think Daddy was secretly overjoyed too, and is hoping that Mummy would stop talking about eating at Il Lido again.

When Daddy and Mummy told me that I should not talk too loud during dinner, all I could think about was how tortuous that would be. I simply love to talk! I did enjoy having the service staff place a napkin on my nap though, and drinking water from a nice glass. The service staff was also very funny, and he talked to me and made me laugh. I suspect Mummy will want to go back for dinner again soon, hahah!

Earning my keep

I had a sudden inspiration to learn to cook and bake, so when we were at the library yesterday, I borrowed a book on easy-to-make breakfasts. This morning, I decided that I would like to earn my keep around the house, by making breakfast for the three of us. Daddy and Mummy said that they really love the eggs that I cooked. Maybe I shall be a chef next time!

River safari

Mummy was lucky this weekend and managed to get hold of free tickets to the River Safari as Daddy and I really wanted to see the koalas. We brought Ye Ye along too, as we wanted to thank him for loving me and taking so good care of me after school after day.

I don't know if it's Jia Jia or Kai Kai behind me, but he/she really is round and lazy.

I also found animals in the River Safari that almost have the same name as me :D

All made up

Mummy arranged for us to have lunch with Ah Ma and Grandpa today at Orchard, as Mummy wanted to eat at a restaurant that had a Groupon discount. When we were taking a nice stroll through the departmental store on the way to lunch, my sharp eyes caught sight of glitter and beauty products. I didn't hesitate at all when the nice lady asked if I wanted to be made-up. Tada!

Frozen Milky

Oooooooh, look what we found at the supermarket today!

I'm all decked out in my Frozen nightgown, posing next to post-it Olaf and loving the Frozen milk. I must be their number one fan!

Tribute to Singapore

During my weekly art class, we have been preparing for the National Day art competition at the Istana. Here's my tribute to Singapore - Happy birthday, can you hear the lion roar?!

SG50 @ Science centre

Yay, many attractions are free this long weekend in celebration of Singapore's 50th birthday! My cousins are also back in Singapore, and we took the opportunity to visit the Science Centre. This is one of my favourite exhibits:

Be Be also paid for Mei Mei and I to make our own pouches. I think the idea was for us to learn about chromatography but really all we wanted to do was to have fun with inks, water and colours :)

Spectacles!

It's official, I got my first pair of glasses today. It's been a while since I've been able to see things so clearly, haha. I've been having trouble seeing the words on the board in school, but only just told Daddy and Mummy today. They got my eyes checked and we found out that I was a bit short-sighted. Mummy says she's not surprised though, given how much YouTube and TV I watch and how many books I read. Anyway, I'm happy that my glasses are purple in colour, and I think they make me look cool 8)

Photoshoot

Earlier this month, Mummy had out-of-the-blue announced that she had arranged for us to go for a family photo shoot. So this morning, the three of us dressed up in similar clothes and drove to Hort Park early in the morning. These first two photos are cute right? But they are taken by Mummy using her own camera phone, haha.

Now these are the real professional photos that were taken by the photographer:

After the running about and climbing in the playground, I started getting tired:

Here's a touch of irritation starting to show, with the sun in my eyes.

There was a good ending to the morning though - Daddy and Mummy gave me some money to buy food to feed the fishes in the pond. Yay!
