Mummy arranged for us to have lunch with Ah Ma and Grandpa today at Orchard, as Mummy wanted to eat at a restaurant that had a Groupon discount. When we were taking a nice stroll through the departmental store on the way to lunch, my sharp eyes caught sight of glitter and beauty products. I didn't hesitate at all when the nice lady asked if I wanted to be made-up. Tada!

Frozen Milky
Oooooooh, look what we found at the supermarket today!
I'm all decked out in my Frozen nightgown, posing next to post-it Olaf and loving the Frozen milk. I must be their number one fan!

Tribute to Singapore
During my weekly art class, we have been preparing for the National Day art competition at the Istana. Here's my tribute to Singapore - Happy birthday, can you hear the lion roar?!

SG50 @ Science centre
Yay, many attractions are free this long weekend in celebration of Singapore's 50th birthday! My cousins are also back in Singapore, and we took the opportunity to visit the Science Centre. This is one of my favourite exhibits:
Be Be also paid for Mei Mei and I to make our own pouches. I think the idea was for us to learn about chromatography but really all we wanted to do was to have fun with inks, water and colours :)

Spectacles!
It's official, I got my first pair of glasses today. It's been a while since I've been able to see things so clearly, haha. I've been having trouble seeing the words on the board in school, but only just told Daddy and Mummy today. They got my eyes checked and we found out that I was a bit short-sighted. Mummy says she's not surprised though, given how much YouTube and TV I watch and how many books I read. Anyway, I'm happy that my glasses are purple in colour, and I think they make me look cool 8)

Photoshoot
Earlier this month, Mummy had out-of-the-blue announced that she had arranged for us to go for a family photo shoot. So this morning, the three of us dressed up in similar clothes and drove to Hort Park early in the morning. These first two photos are cute right? But they are taken by Mummy using her own camera phone, haha.
Now these are the real professional photos that were taken by the photographer:
After the running about and climbing in the playground, I started getting tired:
Here's a touch of irritation starting to show, with the sun in my eyes.
There was a good ending to the morning though - Daddy and Mummy gave me some money to buy food to feed the fishes in the pond. Yay!

Staycation
On Thursday night, Daddy and Mummy were discussing our plans for the long weekend ahead. Without telling anyone, Daddy suddenly said with a huge grin that he had booked a staycation for us!
When we checked in yesterday afternoon, one of the first things I did was to try out the bed. It's so cosy, I like!
The next thing we did was to check out the swimming pool and the view that it offers. It was really windy though and the naughty wind messed up my hair.
This is a photo of the night view, that is taken with Mummy's new Samsung phone. Since she bought this phone to replace her old HTC which had taken a swim, she has more or less stopped complaining about the quality of the camera/photos and started becoming more trigger-happy.
And finally this morning, we had a good view of the national day rehearsals that were ongoing at the Padang nearby. We saw giant floats of Singapore icons, such as a giant durian and ice kacang, and a Changi airport control tower.
This all wouldn't have been possible if not for Daddy having the idea and making the booking, so once again thank you Daddy!

Llao Llao
I had my first taste of Llao Llao today after dinner. I was dreaming of it throughout dinner and couldn't wait for Daddy and Mummy, who deliberately seemed to be eating so slowly today, to finish their food. We eagerly went to the shop, which had just opened, and there was no queue - awesome!

Cotton candy fun
While Mummy was away today, Daddy and I went out to play. We went to the Volkswagen showroom, which is one of our favourite places to hang out whenever there is a carnival. Guess what, as I was eating happily on my cotton candy,my tooth got stuck and dropped out!

Still going strong
I must say that I really have been enjoying my art classes the past few weeks. Daddy and Mummy are quite surprised, as I have often lost interest in new things after a while. Haha, let's see how long more I can keep up with my art classes without them feeling like a chore. In the meantime, enjoy the sight of my colourful creations!
