Pizza-making

Mummy's office organised a pizza-making workshop today, and Mummy signed us up so that we could spend some time together. I was very happy, as my best friends Celest and Yi Xuan went to the workshop too with their daddies.

First I had to make the dough:

Second, I had to spread the tomato sauce over the dough. When no one was looking, I gave my spoon a lick =)

Third, I spread the cheese, ham and mushrooms over the base, before the man took the whole pizza to put into the oven:

Happy birthday Singapore!

Today is National Day, which means that it is Singapore's birthday. This is the pretty card that I made for Singapore. Mummy says I didn't spell the words correctly though =(

Mummy was going to bring me to watch the National Day Parade, and I kept asking Daddy and Mummy whether it was time to us to go yet. At last it was the afternoon, and we made our way to the floating platform at Marina Bay, where we met up with Mummy's friend and her baby. Look at the things that I got in the goodie bag!

There were so many things to see at the Parade, such as the Red Lions, who were brave parachuters:

There were many soldiers, with some carrying guns and some carrying colourful flags:

There were helicopters that carried the Singapore flag, as well as many fighter planes that could turn upside down in the sky!

As the sky grew darker, the display grew brighter and the costumes of the performers became more colourful. There were also beautiful (and loud) fireworks. 

After the parade had ended, Mummy and I walked down to where the stage was so that we could see the performers. I high-fived many of them, and also took some photos with them:  

All in all, I had great fun today. I hope that both Daddy and Mummy will be able to come with me next time!

Happy birthday Daddy!

I woke up so excited today as it's Daddy birthday! I think I was even more excited than he was, haha. Mummy and I had lunch with Daddy at a place called Food for Thought, where we made Daddy a potato face to make him smile: 

In the evening, we went to Lao Ee's house for dinner as usual. Mummy had bought a yummy durian cake for Daddy, and we all sang Daddy a birthday song. 

Racial Harmony Day

My school celebrated Racial Harmony Day today, and the children were all asked to dress up in cultural costumes.

Swimming classes

I've been terrified of swimming pools ever since I was about 3 years old, when Daddy accidentally let my head go underwater as we were going down a water slide together. But Daddy and Mummy say that I'm a big girl now, and that I have to learn to swim. To encourage me, they signed me up for swimming classes together with my best friend Celest. I'm quite happy, as I get to see Celest in school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and now for swimming class on Sundays!

Bye Mummy, Hello Mummy!

Mummy left for Berlin for a work trip two nights ago. I was very sad because I miss her: 

But today is a happy day, because Daddy and I are going to Germany to find her and have a holiday at the same time. Bye Singapore! 

Colouring contest

I went for a colouring contest today with my friends from school. I coloured very quickly while some of my friends spent a lot of time and effort with theirs. Here is mine:

My best friend Celest (seated on my right) was there too, and she won second prize for her colouring. All of us received goodie bags as well, yay!

6 years old

After a week of birthday celebrations, it's finally my actual birthday today. During my Yamaha and Berries classes this morning, all my friends wished me a happy birthday. For lunch, I got to eat what I really wanted - spicy instant noodles, yummy. For dinner, because it is my very special day, I also got to choose the type of food that I wanted, which was pizza. Daddy and Mummy also bought me a small mango cake, where I could make wishes before I blew out the candle. Happy birthday to me!
