Hello Kitty

Mummy reminded me this morning that we were going to watch a Hello Kitty show later in the day. I was all excited about it and after Mummy picked me up from school, I couldn't wait for dinner to finish so that we could watch the show. Alas, the show was not nice! There were only people in costumes singing songs, and they didn't pretend to act anything. Mummy tricked me, bleah.

Bird park

It's been almost half a year since we went to the bird park last Christmas, so we decided to go there today. A lady offered to help us to take a photo with the parrots:

I wanted to see the penguins but the main enclosure was closed for maintenance. Luckily there was only a small pool outside which had small and cute penguins.

If I were a penguin, I woul be taller than a King Penguin but smaller than an Emperor Penguin.

I also met flower penguins, haha. One boy and one girl:

As we were walking around, we noticed that some of the fences looked like birds. Mummy's so silly, she tried to get me to kiss one but I refused to get close because it was so icky!

5 years old

Today is my birthday. I turn 5, and because it's my special day, I didn't have to go to school today, and could spend time with Daddy and Mummy today. We went cycling on the new bike that Ye Ye and Nai Nai had bought for me. And because it's my special day, Mummy agreed to buy me a yummy unhealthy doughnut, haha. In the evening, we went to Spizza for dinner again. This time, we ordered dessert, and when the waiter knew that it was my birthday, the cake came with a candle for me to blow out.

Today is also a special day because I am now a big girl. I had promised Daddy and Mummy that from today, I wouldn't drink milk from a bottle anymore. More importantly, I promised them that I would no longer suck my thumb from today, so wish me luck!

5th birthday party

Although my actual birthday isn't until a few days later, I had my birthday party today. We celebrated it at the function room of Maggie Lao Ee's house. the same place where my birthday party was two years ago. This year, I made Daddy and Mummy buy a sleeping beauty cake for me.

All my family was there, including Grandpa and Ah Ma, Ye Ye and Nai Nai.

Mummy thought that it would be very funny to reuse the birthday decoration from my cake, so this is where she put it:

Everybody gave me a lot of presents. I had two new bags, many princess things like dresses, water bottle, plate and stationary, some books and toys. I even made two of my Ee Ees play with me on the floor.

Edgar Ku Ku also entertained me. I don't get to see him much, so it was quite fun playing balloons with him.

Matching T-shirts

Mummy had bought a pair of matching T-shirts when we were in Cambridge last week. Nice?

Back to Cambridge

Today's the last day of our holiday, and we will be flying home tonight. Mummy had her graduation ceremony yesterday, and Daddy and I were proud to be there at the Senate House. I saw Mummy kneel in front of a man who was dressed like a king, and saw the man hold Mummy's hand and bless her. I am very proud of my Mummy.

We also spent part of yesterday reliving old memories. While Mummy was in school doing her class photo-taking, Daddy brought me to the huge playground at Lama's Land. The place looks different now, with many new things that weren't here last year.

Daddy and I also went to visit the ducks at the pond. Ssssh, Mummy doesn't know that we didn't finish the sandwich that she had made for us for breakfast and that I had given some of it to the ducks.

When Mummy was done with photo-taking, we went back to Churchill College to have tea with our old neighbours. I met Roni, who's now almost as tall as me. We also took a photo in front of our old flat. It's no longer ours though, and there's a new family staying in it. I hope they too have happy times in there.

This morning, we paid a short visit to my old school Patacake. Even though it's Sunday and no one would be in school today, it was still nice to walk around the outside. It was a pity that I didn't get to meet my teachers and old friends.

Paris Disneyland and Eiffel Tower

Yesterday was a magical day! We had gotten up bright and early, and had spent the entire day in Disneyland. There were many babies with their mummies and daddies, and everywhere was very crowded. We had to first queue to get past the gates, then queue to buy tickets, and queue somemore to take the rides.

As we walked in, we came across the Disney Dance Express. MIckey and Minnie Mouse and their friends Goofy, Donald and Pluto were dancing, and so were the chipmunks. I even danced with them on the street for a little while when they asked little babies to join them. After the music stopped, we made our way to Fantasyland, where I saw Sleeping Beauty's castle. I think she's sleeping though, because it was still early in the morning.

We then took many rides, like the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups...

... It's A Small World ...

... Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast ...

... and many many more like the Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Phantom Manor, Star Tours simulator ride, and Snow White's Scary Adventure. In the evening, after a long day of walking and waiting in queues, I finally got to see Sleeping Beauty and her prince in Disney's Once Upon A Dream Parade. The other princesses and their princes were also on the same float as Sleeping Beauty, so I think they must all be good friends because they play together. I had a very fun time at Disneyland yesterday, so bye bye for now, until I Daddy and Mummy bring me back again!

The weather today was not as nice as yesterday's, and it was slightly wet and gloomy. But we decided to make the best use we could of today anyway, as we were leaving Paris early tomorrow morning to go back to the UK. We walked around a street market in the morning, where Daddy and Mummy bought me a banana (because I was hungry) and a fridge magnet of the Mona Lisa (because she's famous and I had read about her in books before we left for our holiday). After a very yummy French lunch with yummy dessert, we joined a walking tour in the afternoon, where this lady brought us to see the sights of Paris. After the tour ended, we made our own way to the Eiffel Tower. It is so tall and I feel so small standing under it.

Holiday!

We had left for the UK a week ago, and we've been enjoying ourselves ever since! Our holiday began with a free foot massage at Changi airport.

After a very long flight, we arrived in London, picked up our rental car and drove to Middle Aston, where we stayed the night in a nice cottage. We walked around for a while the next morning, and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

After leaving Middle Aston, we went shopping at Bicester Village. Daddy and Mummy bought two pairs of shoes for me, one in my favourite colour pink and the other with pretty shiny decorations. When we had shopped enough, we drove to our next stop in Birmingham. We spent the afternoon at Cadbury World, where I saw how Cadbury chocolates were made. I even saw a chocolate London, so funny.

After a night in Birmingham, we spent the morning walking around the city. I took a photo by a fountain.

Daddy and I also tried to hold up a structure so that it wouldn't fall down on us, haha.

From Birmingham, we travelled to Manchester so that Daddy could visit Old Trafford. Maybe I should be a football player next time when I grow up?

After the quick stop in Manchester, we drove to Peak District. We spent a relaxing time there, idling in the park and swinging in the playground.

The next morning, we visited the limestone caves at Poole's Cavern. It was so dark inside, and I kept asking Mummy if there were dinosaurs or giants inside that would want to eat cute babies like me. Fortunately, we managed to escape the cave safely and continued on our journey.

It was time for us to head back to London, where we spent two nights at Chloe's house. London is a great place, I like! Especially during this period, because of the Royal Wedding, many places in London were decked out in the British flag and the mood was very exciting. We visited the old places that I loved to go last time, such as the natural history museum and Princess Diana's playground. We also ate a lot of yummy duck at Bayswater and spent an afternoon at Hamley's the toy store. Look at the free things that I got from there!

Today is the last day that we will be in London, but while I am sad to leave London, I'm also very excited about going to Paris later this afternoon!

Spizza

Instead of our usual places, we decided to go somewhere new for dinner today. We ended up at Spizza, where the pizzas are named after girls. They don't have one called Zoe though. My favourite is Tara, which has a runny egg in the centre, yummy.

As we were walking around after dinner, we came across a funky wall in the shopping centre. Do Mummy and I look like the Mummy and Baby on the wall?

Giant mango

Guess what we found at the supermarket today? A giant mango that's even bigger than the size of my head!
