Daddy's birthday

Daddy had baked Mummy a cake for her birthday last month, and in return, Mummy made Daddy a jelly cake for his birthday today. I like it because it's wobbly wobbly.

Mummy also tried to bake Daddy a proper cake, but it didn't turn out nice, haha. We ended up buying a chocolate fudge cake from Fitzbillies instead, after we ate lunch at the Fitzbillies restaurant.

I had overheard Daddy telling Mummy that he wanted a sports car for his birthday, so here is my gift to Daddy - a spots car!

Lisbon

After spending a few days in Spain, we headed off to Lisbon. We caught an overnight sleeper train (I call it a hotel train), and we arrived at Lisbon nice and early on Thursday morning. We (read: Mummy) spent a lot of time shopping. I have a lot of new clothes and shoes now =) We also went to visit an old castle, but we didn't find a prince nor an evil queen there.

I found some penguin-like sherpherds though, in one of the metro stations.

While Mummy got to shop to her heart's content, Daddy wanted nothing more than to take a ride on the old trams in Lisbon. So we did, haha. We hopped on the tram without knowing where we were going, and when it stopped, we took the tram the other way back. Silly Daddy again =)

Madrid

We are off on yet another holiday! We had crawled out of bed very early, only to discover when we arrived at Luton airport that our Easyjet flight had been delayed by six hours, sigh.

The first thing that we did after we checked into our hotel in Madrid was to head to where the Victory Parade was being held. Spain had just won the World Cup the previous night, and the whole country was celebrating. Many people were dressed in red and yellow, and some were making loud noises with their vuvuzelas.

We were walking around Madrid one day when we found a playground. Like I've done on many of my past holidays, I enjoyed myself on the swing.

Apart from Madrid, we also took a short train ride to this place called Segovia. Daddy, being an engineer at heart, was fascinated by the Roman Aqueduct and wanted to see it close and personal. Silly Daddy =)

Last day

I woke up feeling sad today. Friday would be my last day at Patacake, and I wouldn't have a chance to see my teachers and friends anymore when I'm back home. Daddy and Mummy decided that we would take some photos in school today, so that I can still remember them next time.

Here is my friend Ana, with my teacher Kat.

This is Ana again, this time with Claire.

This is Lizzie, as well as my handsome friend Freddie.

This is Katherine:

And finally Becca! My friend Oli is standing in the background.

Sun Close Farm

I love strawberries. I can just sit down with a big bowl of strawberries and eat and eat until they're all gone. Daddy and Mummy therefore thought that it would be nice if we could go to a farm to pick our own strawberries. When we got there, we were told that the strawberries were all gone! But it was ok, because we could still pick raspberries and red and black currants.

I also had fun with Grace and Natalie that day. Grace was going to have her birthday soon, and she was there to pick fruits so that her mummy could bake them into a cake for her. I think I'd just eat the fruits on their own, because if Mummy tried to bake, the cake wouldn't be very nice, haha.

Teddy Bears' Picnic

I woke up all excited this morning, because I was going for a Teddy Bears' Picnic with my teachers and classmates! At the picnic, I spent a lot of time playing wth Ana and my other friends at the huge playground.

As the weather was quite hot, Kaijie and I took a dip in the wading pool.

Ana's Mummy also bought an ice cream for me, yummy!

Pretty photos

A professional photographer came to the nursery earlier this month to take photos of all my classmates. Daddy and Mummy have ordered some hardcopy prints, but in the meantime, here are photos of the samples. The photos are really pretty, aren't they?

Washing Daddy's car

It was a lazy Sunday morning, when Daddy decided that he didn't want to be lazy anymore, haha. He asked me if I wanted to help him wash the car, and of course I leapt at the chance to play with water!

Wheelbarrow

Daddy and Mummy taught me a new game today. Haha, I can be a wheelbarrow =)

Road trip

Mummy left for India for a school study trip on Saturday, leaving Daddy to take care of me for the week. Daddy had a brilliant plan instead - we went for a road trip instead without Mummy, together with my friend Kaijie and his family.

We went to Slaughters, where I enjoyed soaking my feet in the cool stream water.

I also enjoyed the nice green grass and flowers at Slaughters.

Daddy didn't get the chance to slaughter me when we were at Slaughters, so when we reached Bourton-on-the-Water, he decided to imprision me instead...

One of the things that Mummy was most worried about was that Daddy would not feed me proper food on our trip. Daddy did an excellent job - so much so that I grew to be much bigger than the houses in Land's End =)

The next day, Daddy decided that I was getting to be too big and was taking up too much space. So, he decided to shrink me so that I was small enough to be eaten by a bee!
