London with Ku Ku Edgar

We had wanted to visit Ku Ku Edgar in Germany last month, but we didn't manage to do so because our flight had been cancelled due to the Iceland volcanic ash cloud. Ku Ku came to stay with us instead this weekend, and we drove down to London on both days.

We brought Ku Ku to see all the usual tourist sights, like the changing of guards, Tower of London,Trafalgar Square, Big Ben.

We walked and walked a lot that weekend....

We also went to watch The Lion King musicial. So scary, roaaar!

Apart from lions, there were many elephants roaming the streets of London. They came in many colours, and my favourite was of course the pink one.

On Sunday, Ku Ku went to the National History Museum, but we didn't go with him as we're been there many times before. Instead, Daddy and Mummy brought me to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens. The playground was really huge, there were many things to do, and Daddy was like a little boy himself! whlie I found myself a small boat to sit in, Daddy was all excited about the big scary pirate ship.

Prague

We went on a short holiday again this week, this time to Prague. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room upgrade. The suite was soooo big, and I even had my own separate room from where I could look up at the stars when I lie in bed.

On our first day, we had lunch in a traditional Czech pub. We had heard that beer was supposed to be inexpensive in Prague and it was true. Daddy ordered a mug of beer that was almost the same price per volume as my soft drink.

We spent a lot of time visting the sights in Prague. Daddy and Mummy always make me walk (instead of carrying me) when we're on holiday, so when I saw a nice patch of grass, I took the chance to rest my feet:

Our second day in Prague was very wet. The rain just kept falling, and prevented us from properly enjoying our visit. The super raincoat that Lao Ee Edwina bought for me came in handy, so unlike Daddy, I was dry throughout the day.

By the end of the trip, I had walked so much that I took the chance to sit down whereever I could. This is me waiting at the metro station for our train to arrive.

My 4th birthday

I am 4 years old today! After a lovely birthday party at home over the weekend, I celebrated my birthday again in school today. Daddy and Mummy had bought me a disney princesses birthday cake, and I was all excited about eating it.

These are my best friends in school, and I play with them all the time. From left to right, there is Shona, Anna, Freddie, and me:

I really enjoy dressing up as a princess in school. Today, I spent the whole day dressed up like Belle (as in Beauty and the Beast), even when I was doing un-princess-like things like playing with sand =)

Princesses and crowns

Daddy and Mummy say that I am obsessed about being a princess. I like princesses because they have long hair and can wear pretty dresses.

Check out the long hair that Mummy and I made:

I saw my neighbour Ronnie wearing a silver crown at the playground the other day. Her mummy said that I could borrow it for a while if I wanted, and I readily said yes. Pretty?

Imagine how happy I was yesterday when I opened my birthday presents and found that I have my own crown. The best part is that it's in pink, which is one of my two favourite colours.

Birthday party at home

I woke up this morning feeling very excited! I was going to have my birthday party, and a lot of people were coming. I insisted on wearing a dress, and after trying on 4 outfts, I finallly settled on this pink one because I had outgrown my other dresses.

I had a lot of fun playing with Portia and Kaijie

Daddy and Mummy's friends gave me a lot of Disney Princesses presents because they knew how much I liked Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. I want to be a princess when I grow up.

Punting

The weather in the afternoon was good today, so we decided to go punting. As it was our first time on the River Cam, Kaijie and his parents accompanied us. We went by many of the colleges, including King's College:

Uncle Kok Hun taught Daddy how to punt, and Daddy was quite good. Not like Mummy, who couldn't get the boat to move very far...

From Munich to London

Mummy had a break from school, and I was so excited about us going to Munich for a holiday. We set out very early in the morning in order to catch our flight, but when we got to the airport, we were told that the flight was cancelled because of a volcano eruption in Iceland. I didn't understand why we couldn't go for a holiday, and I pestered Daddy and Mummy to find us another aeroplane that wasn't spoilt.

In the end, we decided to go for a holiday in London instead, since our luggage was already packed. Daddy called Auntie Jaslyn to ask if we could stay with her, and she very nicely agreed. I was so excited about being able to play with Chloe again! When we got there, I saw that Chloe and her mummy had made a baby house. Chloe and I had so much fun playing together that I didn't want to leave her house.

During our time in London, we went to Daddy's old school for a visit:

We had lunch in Chinatown, where we ate delicious things like beef rendang and roti prata, as well as bought goodies like kueh bang kit and pineapple tarts, yummy!

We also visited Borough Market, where I found a beanstalk... Maybe it's the beanstalk that Jack planted and where the giant lives?

Ducks

We found ducks quacking in the playground a few days ago. Daddy tried to lure them into our house by feeding them, but they stopped just outside our door step. If they had come closer, I thinnk we could have had roast duck for dinner?

I was afraid that the ducks would peck at me, but I still wanted to feed them. My solution: stand far far away, throw the bread at them, and run away when they come near!

Sushi for Zoe

Following from the success of Grapefruit Zoe, Daddy and Mummy decided to try out Sushi Zoe. I like it!
