From Munich to London

Mummy had a break from school, and I was so excited about us going to Munich for a holiday. We set out very early in the morning in order to catch our flight, but when we got to the airport, we were told that the flight was cancelled because of a volcano eruption in Iceland. I didn't understand why we couldn't go for a holiday, and I pestered Daddy and Mummy to find us another aeroplane that wasn't spoilt.

In the end, we decided to go for a holiday in London instead, since our luggage was already packed. Daddy called Auntie Jaslyn to ask if we could stay with her, and she very nicely agreed. I was so excited about being able to play with Chloe again! When we got there, I saw that Chloe and her mummy had made a baby house. Chloe and I had so much fun playing together that I didn't want to leave her house.

During our time in London, we went to Daddy's old school for a visit:

We had lunch in Chinatown, where we ate delicious things like beef rendang and roti prata, as well as bought goodies like kueh bang kit and pineapple tarts, yummy!

We also visited Borough Market, where I found a beanstalk... Maybe it's the beanstalk that Jack planted and where the giant lives?

Ducks

We found ducks quacking in the playground a few days ago. Daddy tried to lure them into our house by feeding them, but they stopped just outside our door step. If they had come closer, I thinnk we could have had roast duck for dinner?



I was afraid that the ducks would peck at me, but I still wanted to feed them. My solution: stand far far away, throw the bread at them, and run away when they come near!

Sushi for Zoe

Following from the success of Grapefruit Zoe, Daddy and Mummy decided to try out Sushi Zoe. I like it!

Tulips

Our tulips are blooming! Daddy had planted some tulip bulbs last December and for the longest time, the pot remained empty. In March, when the weather got warmer, green things started to show:



The green bulbs started to grow on 5 April:

In the afternoon, they started becoming ugly! Daddy and Mummy were so surprised that tulips could open so widely. They don't look like tulips anymore =(

Witches

Daddy and Mummy have recently been interested in visiting places where there are witches. A few weeks ago, we went to this place called Ipswich. The place was quite nice and had many boats, but I didn't see any witches.





Then just last week, we went to another place called Norwich. This time, I kept my eyes really wide open, hoping to catch a glimpse of the evil witch.

We didn't come across any witches here as well, but I did find something less scary - a princess kiddy ride =)

Ku Ku's birthday

I made a card for Edgar Ku Ku for his birthday. I'm only going to give it to him next week though, when we go on holiday and meet him in Germany. In my card, Ku Ku is holding my hand when we cross the road (becase Mummy says it's very dangerous for little babies like me to cross the road myself). I also drew a green balloon for him as well as a cake. I wanted to draw many candles to show Ku Ku's age, but Ku Ku is too many years old and there was no more space on the cake, sorry!

London yet again

We had gone to London today because Mummy had wanted to watch the famous Oxford versus Cambridge Boat Race along the river. We reached early in order to have yummy dim sum at Royal China. After all the food, Daddy and Mummy got lazy and decided not to join the crowds to catch the race =P

Instead, we went to Trocadero where I played at the arcade, sat in a London bus and we watched the How to Train Your Dragon 3D movie there. The 3D glasses were really too big for me and I had to hold them all the time so that they wouldn't fall off. At the end of the movie, Daddy and Mummy were amazed that I could still see out of the glasses, as the lenses were fully covered with my sticky fingerprints, haha.



After the movie, we headed over to Chinatown for more food. We had dinner at this restaurant called Wong Kei, which is supposed to be infamous for its poor service. Daddy was very happy as he ordered roast duck with soup rice noodles, as he had missed this dish very much for many years since he left London. Mummy was also very happy as she bought a lot of junk food from the supermarkets in Chinatown. I was very happy too, because I really enjoyed eating the kueh bang kit and haw flakes that Mummy bought!

Doddling

I love doodling on Mummy's iPhone, and I love it even more when Daddy doodles. Here is a collection of our best doodlings:

Turkish dinner

Mummy's classmate Eser and his wife Basak organised a Turkish dinner for all their classmates tonight. We went to a Mediterranean restaurant called Agora at the Copper Kettle, where we had a small private section for about 40 of us. I really liked eating the warm toasted pita bread as well as the cold ice cubes that came with the glasses of water. I also tried some homous, cous cous and lamb liver (which I promptly spit out).

My new toy

I love my new toy. Well ok, it's not really mine, but it is new and it is a toy. Mummy's new iPhone can do lots of wonderful things! I can play games on it as well as watch YouTube videos of In the Night Garden, Waybuloo, CSI, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. But I don't think Mummy's iPhone is very strong - it would probably spoil if I dropped it on the floor and would definitely fall sick if it dropped into water. Anyway, the phone can do funny things to photos and make nice photos of us.





I think this photo is particularly funny. It reminds me of how I look when I first wake up in the morning with messy hair, haha.
