Sightseeing

Auntie Han Ping (Daddy and Mummy's friend) was in London for work last week, and she stopped over in Cambridge today.

We took a bus to the city centre, where we started our sightseeing tour looking at the model of the city:

The first place that we visited was King's College and King's College Chapel. Daddy and I have been here before, so we proudly showed off the place to Mummy and Auntie Han Ping.

We then walked over to Clare College. Along the way, we saw cows (I think?) and a duck.

As we were leaving Clare College, we saw a huge teddy with pink clothes at the top of the building, haha.

Our last stop was Trinity College:

There was a small apple tree just outside the college. Daddy says that the tree was a sapling taken from the original apple tree that Isaac Newton sat under when he discovered gravity =)

Toys and trees

There was a commerative tree-planting ceremony at our college this morning to mark the fiftieth anniversary of its founding. Exactly 50 years ago, Sir Winston Churchill made his one and only visit to the site of what is now our home for the next year, where to mark that occasion Sir Winston planted a mulberry tree. Today, Lady Soames, Sir Winston's daughter, planted a tree to celebrate 50 successful years of her father's vision.

In the afternoon, I decided to assemble the best of my forces. Here are the vehicles from the playground:

As well as the monster animals from the Toys R Us store!

One month

It's been one month since we arrived here. We've had many new things - from our home, to our car, and my school. Today will also be the first time that I'll be sleeping in my own bed in my own room, instead of sleeping on the mattress on the floor in Daddy's and Mummy's room.

The weather has been steadily growing colder, and the sunny days should be going away soon. In preparation for winter, Mummy took out my new white puffy jacket from the cupboard today. I think I look like the abominable snowman ;)

Pizza

I had a great day in school today! I had the chance to make my own pizza, and I naturally put my favourite mushrooms and sweet corn on the top. When Daddy came to pick me up after school, I didn't allow him to touch my pizza, as I wanted to wait for Mummy to come home so that I could share the pizza with her. Mummy was quite late today though, and I was hungry, so Daddy tore off a corner for me to eat first. When we went to fetch Mummy, I clutched the pizza tightly in my hand and eagerly showed off to her the minute she stepped in the car.

Chaplins Farm

When I woke up this morning, Daddy asked me if I wanted to see animals on a farm. When we got there, we saw this:

It's a place called Cheeky Monkeys on the farm, which is an indoor playground for children. It reminded me a lot of the SAFRA back home. I played here for a while then we went outdoors and found:

Red (and green...) strawberries, and baby pink apples! There was also an outdoor playground, which got me all excited. Daddy see-sawed with me for a bit:

I then found a mini excavator in the playground. It's such a cool machine that has two hands that I can use to dig sand.

Museums and Mid-Autumns

It was a really windy day when we woke up. Daddy and Mummy didn't allow me to go to the playground in case I get blown around and away, just like all the fallen leaves. Nevertheless, I had fun today!

We went to a museum in the afternoon, where I saw many exhibitions and pictures. There was this picture of a big dinosaur eating a baby dinosaur, and the big dinosaur had blood all over his mouth. I wonder why the dinosaur mummy didn't protect him? Anyway, this is a photo of me in front of the museum.

At night, we walked over to my new friend Kaijie's house for dinner, to celebrate 中秋节 (Mid-Autumn's festival). Kaijie's Mummy cooked a lot of nice food including curry, and we also had mooncakes.

We then carried our lanterns (Mummy's friend Uncle Nelson bought me the lantern, while Kaijie's Daddy gave me the candle and stick) in the playground and admired the full moon, even though it was a cold night. I was certainly very tired when I got home!

Great Yarmouth

After our great adventure to London yesterday, we decided to explore Great Yarmouth today. Haha, but coincidentally, one of the first things that we saw was a London bus.

We then went on to look for the beach, which was the main reason why we came here. It was nice and windy, but unlike back home, the sand here is cold.

As we were frolicking on the sand, Daddy and Mummy spotted some donkeys in the distance. I got all excited and demanded a ride on a donkey!

London

This is our second weekend here, and we decided to do some quick sightseeing in London. After all the sandwiches that we've been having, I was so pleased to have roast duck with noodles for lunch today =)

Road to school

After a week here, I'll be starting at nursery tomorrow. Daddy and Mummy says that I will have to walk down this long road in order to reach school. Maybe Daddy will carry me if I tell him that I'm tired? Or if I walk very very slowly, maybe Daddy will give up and carry me so that we won't be late? Haha!

Anyway, there were quite a number of planes doing acrobatics above us today. One of them did a somersault and left a nice cloud ring in the sky. Mummy was so fascinated that she just had to take a photo of it.

My new playground

The weather has been fantastic since we got here - not too cold and very sunny. And with my house opening out to my new playground, I can't resist going outside to play every day.

There are also a lot of green spaces around our flat. The other people look so happy and comfortable sitting on the grass that again I couldn't resist joining them!
