My new playground

The weather has been fantastic since we got here - not too cold and very sunny. And with my house opening out to my new playground, I can't resist going outside to play every day.

There are also a lot of green spaces around our flat. The other people look so happy and comfortable sitting on the grass that again I couldn't resist joining them!

Tonight's the night

Ever since Daddy and Mummy told me a few months ago that we were going overseas for a year, I have been very excited and have gone around telling everybody bye-bye. This was the mess that was in the room a few days ago as Mummy was packing, but we're finally leaving tonight with 3 big fully packed suitcases.

As it would be very cold where we're going, Mummy thought that I should have a last chance to wear shorts and spend some time in the sun. So here I am at the playground at Ah Ma's house:

Bye bye car

Daddy just told me today that we can't bring our red car along when we go overseas, and that we have to sell it. But Daddy says that we can buy an even nicer car when we get there! I hope it's also a red car like the one we have now.

Family portrait

I was feeling creative today and decided to put my artistic talents to good use. Do you recognise my Daddy (with the long legs), Mummy (with long hair) and the baby me?

Parade

We went to a great party today! Like almost everyone else, I was all decked out in red, and I even had a red tattoo on my cheek.





In addition, the helipcopters that flew above us carried a red flag.



There was a lot of singing and dancing on the stage, and many people around me were cheering and shouting. To end off the evening, there were red and green fireworks in the sky.

Birthdays

After celebrating my and Mummy's birthdays just recently, we had two more birthdays this month. First was Ah Ma's birthday, with a pandan kaya cake. After Ah Ma blew out the candles, I rushed to pick up the chocolate decoration on top of the cake and finished it in 2 bites. So yummy.



This week we celebrated Daddy's birthday, with a mango cake. Again I rushed to eat the chocolate decoration on top of the cake. I also ate so many of the mango pieces on top of the cake that Daddy and Mummy had to remove the cake from me so that other people could have some. Aren't I naughty?

Masterpiece

We were at Grandpa's and Ah Ma's house this afternoon, and I was feeling artistic out of the blue. Luckily there were plenty of things in the house to keep me satisified. Voila, here's my masterpiece:

CTE and Me

I noticed that Daddy took a different route when fetching me to school today. So I asked Daddy a series of questions:

Me: Daddy, what is this?

Daddy: CTE lor

Me: CTE go to school?

Daddy: Yep!

Me: Why so many people go my school? (referring to the other cars on the road)

Daddy: No lah. CTE also goes to other places besides your school, like Ah Ma's house

Me: Ok, why so many people go Ah Ma's house?

Daddy: No, CTE goes to many places. So some people use it to go to work, or to their own schools lor.

Me: Wah, CTE so clever! I love CTE!

Family day

My school had its family day today. We went to the SAFRA at Jurong, which has a very large indoor playground. There was also a session in which I could express my artistic inclinations.



I can draw not too badly for a 3-year old ya?

Mummy's Birthday

We had our usual Sunday night dinner at Lao Ma's house today, where we celebrated Mummy's birthday. I think Mummy's as old as me, as she had the same number of candles on her cake as I did on mine.



I didn't eat much of the cake, but I certainly enjoyed the chocolate piece that was on top of the cake!
