Yummy ant

There were many flying ants in the house today, and Mummy was annoyed. I thought I'd help clean up by eating one of them, but somehow that got Mummy even more upset. I wonder why? The ant tasted quite crunchy.

Fun at night

I often get a healthy dose of laughter before I go to bed at night, because Daddy and Mummy are just so silly. Actually I'm not sure whether they have more fun playing with me or if I have more fun playing with them?!

Baby cheongsam

Ah Gong and Ah Ma bought me a baby cheongsam (traditional Chinese dress) for my birthday yesterday. Daddy says that if I give him a kiss, I don't need to work (for milk) as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant.

My First Birthday!

Today is my first birthday. I started the day by opening my first present from Daddy and Mummy. I think I had much more fun tearing up the wrapping, then playing with the toy.

Shortly after, people started coming to my house. My grandparents were one of the first to arrive before lunch, followed by my granduncles, grandaunties, uncles and aunties.

Daddy and Mummy bought me a chocolate cake with one candle. I'm not sure why my name was written on it though, since I didn't get to eat it.

Amidst all the excitement of the morning, I thought I'd take a well-deserved milk break. Nothing beats drinking a bottle of nice warm milk!

My birthday party (part two)

My second party was at dinner time, for Daddy's and Mummy's colleagues and friends. I was intrigued by Chloe (Auntie Jaslyn's daughter), as it's not often that I meet someone who's about the same size as me.

Everyone sang me a birthday song after dinner. I tried to get a bite of my birthday cake (which also had my name on it), but I didn't quite succeed. Daddy's and Mummy's colleagues bought the cake for me, and it had little bears on wheels.

I was definitely exhausted at the end of the day, but I would like to thank everyone for your well-wishes and gifts! Will I get as many presents for my next birthday too?

Papapapapa, wawawawawa

The second and third words that I have picked up are papapapapa and wawawawawa. After I said them today, Daddy and Mummy looked at each other and couldn't decide whether my "dadadadada" two days ago meant "Daddy". But no worries, I'll say "Daddy" and "Mummy" in proper English in my own time, when I'm ready!

I can unpack

Be Be (Daddy's older brother) works in China, but he was staying with us for the past few days as he's back in Singapore.

He's leaving tonight though, so he was busy packing up his things. I think I was quite a great help to him by unpacking his things!

Dadadadada

When Daddy and Mummy came back from work this evening, I greeted them with my first "word" (consisting of a consonant and a vowel) - "dadadadadadada". Daddy thought I was calling him, and he was so excited that he told his friends about my new trick.

Short hands

I don't understand why Daddy and Mummy can raise their hands over their heads, but I can't seem to do the same. Is it because I have short hands? Or maybe my head is too big?

Mr Tortoise

Daddy bought Mr Tortoise today for Mummy to massage her back. Daddy thinks that I look like Mr Tortoise when I'm asleep. I can help Mummy to massage her back too!
